07 August Merger: The supervisory boards of FOCUS Digital AG and TOMORROW Internet AG instruct their management boards to carry out a possible merger of the two companies to create Germany’s most important Internet media group.
18 September Merger: The share swap ratio is agreed. TOMORROW Internet shareholders will receive three shares in FOCUS Digital AG for four TOMORROW Internet AG shares
20 September playboy.de launches as first international edition of the US offering
04 October Merger: Germany’s Federal Cartel Office approves the planned merger with TOMORROW InternetMerger: TOMORROW FOCUS AG decided on as new name for the company. Munich is to be the headquarters with Hamburg as a second location

    12 March TOMORROW FOCUS next media develops and implements no fewer than seven independent services for the new E-Plus multimedia service i-mode. This makes it i-mode’s biggest content partner.
    18 March FOCUS Online goes online with “Germany’s fastest title page story”, an offering for which a fee is payable. From 2 p.m. on Saturdays the title page story of the FOCUS magazine that comes out on the following Monday can be accessed online.
    9 April TOMORROW FOCUS AG enters into an exclusive agreement with E-Plus to buy playboy.de content for mobile use
